Who we are.
Chico Construction (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates chico-construction.com. We’re a residential remodeling contractor in California. Contact: mat@chico-construction.com or 530-636-2340.

What we collect & why.

You provide: name, contact details, project info, and any files/photos you send—used to respond, estimate, schedule, and perform services.
Automatic data (site): IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, and similar diagnostic data—used to operate, secure, and improve the site.
Social interactions (optional): if you comment, message, or mention us on social media, we may see your handle and the content so we can respond and manage our pages.

Analytics (GoDaddy Analytics).
We use GoDaddy Analytics to understand site activity (e.g., page views, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser metadata, session duration, and general interaction events). GoDaddy processes this information as our service provider on our behalf to provide aggregated reporting and diagnostics. We do not use third-party ad tech or cross-context behavioral advertising on this site, and we do not sell or share personal information for such advertising.

Cookies & tracking.
Our site may set essential and performance/analytics cookies so it functions correctly and we can measure traffic. You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking some cookies may impact site features. If we later add marketing cookies or third-party pixels, we’ll update this Policy and, where required, obtain consent.

Service providers (who we share with).
We share personal information with vendors that process it for us under contract, including:

GoDaddy Websites + Marketing (hosting/site builder) — hosting, performance/security logging.
GoDaddy Analytics — traffic measurement and diagnostics.
GoDaddy Social — scheduling/publishing posts and managing page interactions across connected social platforms.
Licensed trade partners/subcontractors (only as needed to estimate or perform your project).
Professional advisors and authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal information.

How we use information.
To communicate with you, prepare estimates/contracts, schedule and deliver services, improve and secure our website and social presence, comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud/abuse.

Retention.
Inquiry emails and routine correspondence: generally up to 2 years. Project/transaction records (including invoices and approved photos): up to 7 years or as required by law. Analytics data is used in aggregated form for trend reporting; underlying logs are retained by our host per operational needs.

Your choices & rights.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA).
California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing.” We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law. If our practices change (e.g., we add ad pixels), we’ll update this section and provide opt-out options.

Children’s privacy.
Our services are intended for adults; we don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate for a small business. No method is 100% secure.

International transfers.
Our vendors (including GoDaddy and social platforms) may process data in the U.S. and other locations.

Changes.
We may update this Policy; the “Effective date” below reflects the latest version.
